JOBS IN CANADA
- Canada is one of the top destinations for foreign study for Indian students as Canadian education is more economical in comparison to other major study destinations like the United States, Australia, NZ & UK
- Students may qualify to work off campus without a work permit. If you qualify, your study permit will allow you to work up to 20 hours per week during regular academic sessions and work 40 hours during scheduled breaks, such as the winter and summer holidays or spring break.
- Students who are done with their study from Canada’s government institute may get a full-time open work permit to get valuable Canadian work experience, which helps qualify for Permanent Residence in Canada through various immigration programs.
- There is no requirement of a Job offer to get an open work permit under Post-Graduation Work Permit Program (PGWPP).
- As of September 2017, the average wage for Canadian employees was $986 a week – or just over $51,000 a year. This marks a 3% increase over the same period a year.
